Swinton Band Successfully Defend their Title at the NEMBBA Autumn Contest

Swinton and District Excelsior Band are delighted to announce that they have once again been crowned champions of the 4th section at the NEMBBA Autumn Contest held on Sunday 16th November 2025 at the Post Mill Centre, South Normanton, successfully defending their title for the second year running.
The band impressed adjudicators with a strong and expressive performance of I, Daedalus, securing another memorable contest victory and marking a proud moment for the whole organisation, it was also extra special as it was Musical Director Stephen Hague's first contest with the band and first ever contest as a conductor.
Band representatives said they were thrilled with the result and grateful for the continued support of their players, supporters and wider community.
